My Research

Hsiao-ping Chen received her Ph.D. in art education from The Ohio State University. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Art Education at Grand Valley State University where she teaches courses about computer technology, K-5 studio practice, and research methodology in addition to art education seminar and capstone courses. Her research interests include computer technologies, curriculum development, identity formation, youth and popular culture. She is the author of the book, From Artmaking to Identity Making, and co-author of the book, Introduction to Integrating Music, Art, and Theater in Elementary Education.
